The Bible is literally, the Book. It is the standard by which all other authoritative historical documents are measured. It is more published and more translated from its original manuscripts than any other writing ever. It was written over a period of 1600 years by 40 people from all walks of life: kings, prophets, priests, and the apostles of Christ Jesus. The Bible has shaped the culture and society of Israel since Moses' time and since its completion prior to 70 A.D., has had an extensive influence on every society.
Well-informed people are diligent to read and understand the Bible, freely available as a translation of the majority text, such as Young's Literal Translation, or a King James translation, for English.
The following doctrines are only for serious Bible students. Before continuing, please affirm the following:
Interpretation of the Scriptures
The Bible is interpreted using the same rules of grammar and logic as any other written document that is intended to communicate meaningful information. Sufficient details of the text support only one correct interpretation, and these topics are of interest to the Bible student:
Difference between the Church and the World
The church belongs to Christ, the World is for the time being under Satan's stewardship, within the boundaries God has defined. Christians always need to remember what team they are on and act accordingly, Titus 2:11-14.
Qualifications for leaders in the Church
In the Church, women are not to be in positions of authority over men. This relates to what took place in the garden of Eden: Adam was not deceived, while Eve was, 1 Timothy 2:12-14. A local assembly that has no problem disregarding this teaching is not the place for a serious Bible student. The Church is different than the world.
A church leader must be able to teach the Scriptures and must have a good reputation in the community for keeping his life in order.
Difference between the Church and Israel
The Church does not replace Israel; all of God's covenants with Israel and the accompanying promises are of the same force and effect as the angular momentum of the earth, Jeremiah 33:20.
Difference between gifts and rewards with respect to salvation
The difference between work and faith
correctly define "salvation of the soul", 1 Peter 1:3-9, James 5:19-20
correct placement of quoatation marks in hypophora of James 2:17-24
correctly define repentance (Matthew 12:41 and Jonah 3:10)
difference between being born and adopted in the Biblical context
the adoption takes place after birth, i.e. not all who are born into the family of God will be adopted as sons who will be eligible to enjoy the inheritance the same way, Romans 8:12-19
The Kingdom of Heaven or Kingdom of God:
The throne of heaven upon which Christ is seated is different than the throne of David upon which Christ will sit. This matter of Christ's inheritance directly relates to gifts and rewards and is therefore practical for all Christians to be aware of, Hebrews 1-2, 12.
Defining future events
the return of Christ is imminent, i.e. it could take place at any moment and no one knows when it will be. This aspect of imminence places it next on the timeline of Biblical events, Matthew 24:26-25:30.
the rapture is necessarily the first part of the return, and it puts a definite timer on all subsequent prophesied events:
Jesus meets the saints in the air, Acts 1:11
God's Spirit thus allows the anti-Christ to rule for seven years over those who remain on the earth, 2 Thessalonians 2:7
various judgments are poured out on the earth, Revelation 6-19
Israel recognizes Jesus as the Messiah and evangelizes the world, Matthew 23:39
Jesus sets foot upon the mount of Olives and enters Jerusalem through the East gate, Zehariah 14:3-4
the raptured and resurrected saints return with and are judged by Christ, and based on their works are rewarded with various positions of authority and responsibility in Christ's kingdom, or else are excluded to various degrees from participation in the kingdom,
the nations are judged for how they treated Israel, and the whole earth is brought under the rulership of Christ for 1000 years, Ezekiel 37:24-28, Psalm 2:9
Satan is bound and the earth is cleaned up, Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 20:1-6, Ezekiel 39:12
Satan is released to deceive the nations a final time before being cast into the Lake of Fire, Revelation 20:7-10
the Great White Throne judgment, for all who have rejected Christ, Revelation 20:11-16
the earth and all that is in it is burned up, and new heavens and new earth are formed, Revelation 21:1, 2 Peter 3:10-13
Roman Catholicism
Roman Catholic "Church-ianity" isn't properly a Christian institution because it blatantly ignores these basic teachings of Christ contained in the Bible:
According to Islam, the one God is Allah, and Mohammed was his prophet. But not even Mohammed was confident that all his sins were forgiven, as is recorded in the most reliable of hadiths. To this day, Muslims, add "Peace be upon him" after every mention his name because of this uncertainty.
One of the challenges of Islam is that if anyone could make a book comparable to the Qu'ran, then it too would be considered as divine. However the Qu'ran was revealed to only one man. Its origin is not supported by multiple witnesses as other reliable documents are. There's this other guy, Joseph Smith, who made a comparable book...
One of the core teachings of Islam is that God cannot take human form. This eliminates any possiblity of a divine sacrifice atoning for human sin. According to the Quran, Allah is all-merciful, but he is also distant and not in a position to redeem a sinful humanity.
Pride Movement
The pride movement is tremendously anti-God and anti-Bible. It has great selling power, as does anything that appeals to human pride. It mis-appropriates symbols and words with rich history and meaning, undermining the foundation of society. It says that everyone has the authority to define their own truth, when the reality is that only God has the authority to do so. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but everyone is responsible to do their own research into history to make sound conclusions. Historically, every nation that has denied God, has fallen. The God mentioned in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is the same one alluded to in our national anthem, the one who is supreme, the one who enables the proper ordering of society. The pride movement will be self-defeating because it brings deep disorder and confusion.
Evolution
Evolution with a capital E is the idea that all life gradually developed from a single cell over millions of years to all the forms of life we see today. This idea is not supported by the fossil record, or by experimention or observation, so it has no predictive or engineering value. The only use of Evolution appears to be to convince fools that there isn't a Creator-God to whom they must give account.
All living organisms are built from the irreducibly complex information contained in their genes. In the same way that the blueprints for a car factory and the subsequent building construction and assembly of automobiles and the accompanying mining and other material sourcing logistics involves a small degree of complex information, a single-celled organism involves a much higher degree of sophistication. It is not reasonable to assume that any single-celled organism, for example an amoeba, could ever breed anything other than more amoebas. This is because amoebas lack the necessary genetic information to produce anything other than more amoebas. In fact, all organisms have only ever reproduced according to the information contained in their genes. Because the proposed mechanisms for Evolution can act only on pre-existing information, and do not create viable new information on the order that would be required for Evolution to happen, even with millions or billions of supposed intervening years, Evolution is not a matter of science, but one of compounded infinitesimal probabilities that no one has ever witnessed or reported on. The probability of supernatural events that people did witness and report on, such as Jesus taking a stroll on the Sea of Galilee, or a donkey rebuking a prophet, is far greater than that of Evolution ever occuring.
The non-capitalized word "evolution" refers to any process of change or development, which applies to the biological process of gene selection. The selection of pre-existing genetic information, whether natural or guided by humans, is an observable and very useful phenomenon. It is understood through genetic research.
